Affiliate Fitness
18 July 2007 – 10:58 amWhen I quit my day job almost three years ago now to become a full-time affiliate, up near the top of the “pros” list was having time to get back into shape. While I’ve gone through some phases of fitness, the norm has more been sleepless nights working and too much coffee.
This first week of getting back into shape wraps up today with another 6 mile run. The ones after a day of rest are always the best. And a nice cool drizzly day for it as well.
Here’s how things have shaped up so far. Not only have I logged some good miles, but I’ve actually been more productive for it.
- 7/12 - 6 miles. One blog post.
- 7/13 - 6 miles. Two blog posts.
- 7/14 - rest.
- 7/15 - 6 miles. One blog post. One BUMPzee feature idea (TBD).
- 7/16 - 6 miles. One blog post (which has been getting stumbled like crazy), and one hopefully killer Costumzee feature (TBD).
- 7/17 - rest
- 7/18 - 6 miles. Two blog posts, this one and one still in my head.
Much thanks to those of you who have given me encouragement. Including Jonathan (get a blog man, and I’ll throw you a link), Connie in a Facebook post, John Cronin who is apparently quite a runner himself, and Matt Reid who has put his entire physical well-being squarely on my head. Pressure!

30 miles in a week ….impressive stuff indeed. Putting me to shame!
Did about 6 today myself (not blogged yet). For once this ’summer’ it wasn’t raining over here in the UK.
Keep it up.

I respect you dedication! I always want to work out when I have been sitting in front of the comp for so long but I always end up procrastinating

Hey Scott,
Well done! I live about 6 houses from the start of the Boston Marathon. Drop me a line if you decide to run it, I’ll save a parking spot and a number for the bathroom line.

Great job on starting to work out. I just got back into it myself in April and couldn’t be happier with my choice, it clears my mind and keeps me focused on my projects a lot more. I hope you get the same results.

I know putting weight is dangerous thing, not only for health, it’ll indirectly affect our efficiency of our performance. When I start to do freelance work and SEO, a couple of year back, I start to go gym regularly which I’ve stopped immediately after my college. Now I’m going to at least four days a week, it is really help me to keep myself fit and fresh…
