ShareASale ThinkTank a Success

07 November 2006 – 9:08 am

Brian Littleton of ShareASale hosted a unique event, dubbed the ThinkTank, this past weekend, bringing a small group of merchants and affiliates together in Las Vegas for networking and feedback. In stark contrast to the bigger affiliate industry’s client events like CJU and the Linkshare Symposium, this was an intimate gathering of a few dozen affiliates and merchants. It provided the unique opportunity to meet and converse with each and every attendee.

Merchants each had 45 minutes to pitch their program to an audience of top performing affiliates who then received some honest feedback about their sites and affiliate programs. In return, they got the spotlight and hopefully some new affiliates to promote their programs.

There was ample time for networking with plenty of breaks as well as meals and parties — not to mention some time for fun…

Connie Berg of FlamingoWorld generously brought a few of us to the Motley Crue / Aerosmith concert on Saturday night at the MGM Grand. What an incredible show.

Here’s Connie saluting Joe Perry as he ran on past on the catwalk (whom she could not stop talking about).

And the Schaff brothers, Brook and Forrest, rocking it out.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet many smart and talented individuals, network reps, merchants, and like-minded affiliates. I return home jazzed to get going on some new programs.

  2. Blogged this on AffiliateNewsReview.com. I have always liked the ShareASale guys though I haven’t used the program too much. Giving them a little publicity is no problem.

  4. Did I tell you about Joe Perry lately?

I agree the whole event was great, it was nice to meet some of the SAS merchants and tell them our point of view, and give them advice and learn more about their programs.

SAS is a top notch network, I feel many times they don’t get the respect they deserve.
