Last week, I trashed on the Superbowl because I don't have any stakes in the game. In fact, I really couldn't have cared less about who won.
I was reminded last night that having no stakes is actually a really great way to watch a big game like the Superbowl. You're just rooting for great plays, no matter which side they come from. And we got a big treat last night. What a truly incredible game. Every year, the announcers seem to declare the current superbowl as the "best ever", but last night's Steelers win over the Cardinals may have just been that, at least that I've witnessed.
Even better it starts erasing the memory of Eli Manning and the Giants' victory over the Patriots last year. That was so definitely not the best ever, even though many were calling it that. But maybe I'm biased.
I digress, and without further ado...
Thanks to Football Fanatics, I've got a $100 gift card to give away to one lucky person who commented on and/or tweeted about the Hockey post.
And the Winner is...
For the record, second place went to Stephanie Lichtenstein and third place to Judi Moore. In the impossible scenario that Kevin does not claim his prize, it'll go to Steph.
Otherwise, you two get a big hearty congrats for being randomly chosen second and third! :)
Kevin, the Jangro.com Prize Patrol van will be arriving at your house to deliver your prize. Keep an eye out, it looks a LOT like the USPS truck.
