Great post from my friend Lisa Riolo who has finally broken the tape on her shiny new blog.

Will Affiliates Survive this Economy? | LisaRiolo: "So: Yes or No? Affiliates are fast-learning entrepreneurs. Online shopping continues to grow. Advertisers are going to aggressively seek accountability in advertising. Yes, affiliates will survive this economy, but their path to riches isn’t coated in sugar."

My answer to this question, yes, of course affiliates will survive. Not all of them, but I think we're positioned particularly well with our collective marketing expertise and agility. I plan to survive anyway.

    Let me ask this first: Will someone who has experienced the summer survive the winter? Of course, with the right wears, he will.

    Humans were not designed to survive and live according to the state of the economy. We live by the unseen knowledge and information that live in us - these we have developed and learnt through the years.

    Affiliates who know themselves are sure to survive.

    I am thinking that many established affiliates will survive, but it will become more difficult for noobs to enter the field. I expect shrinking profit margins for sue.

    Well, I tend to share the same opinion with you here, mate.

    If the affiliate cannot survive the economic crisis, then tell me what will get through the financial turbulence?

    So far the economy has posed no problem at all, in fact ive seen sales increase. For my niche it appears we are making more money online since people want to avoid traveling to save money.

    Only time will tell, and I fear it will be a long road ahead of us. Online shopping is the only way to go as far as this gal is concerned!
