Tiny, thanks for the clarification.
Not that it really matters, but your blogspot URL was in fact down, returning a 403 error at about 1:30 am EST on Sunday. A reader who noticed it sent me an email.
I checked again 5 or so hours later and it was back, thus my second update.
Anyway, nice job. The video quality is pretty good -- certainly good enough to suit the purpose of a videoblog.
Since you're reading, hopefully you'll respond to a question. Do you have permission from the AffiliateSummit guys to post those full-length videos?
Glad you liked the content. I did talk to Shawn before the show and after. Everyone is more then OK with the idea of posting videos online. To sum everything up: nobody cares enough. As long as I don't have to have release forms signed, everything is in order. I'm working on a full transcript from the video files. So far I have posted about 10 hours of video files online. There is more work to be done. I’ll be posting updates on the progress every 2-3 days.
http://affiliatevideo.blogspot.com I will be attending AffiliateSummit EAST as well, and yes I’ll be filming there too. My point is the following: If networks want more affiliates joining their programs why wouldn’t they properly introduce themselves. I think people are tired of signing up with UNKNOWN affiliate program with [email protected] as my affiliate rep.
A new blog has an interesting approach of documenting affiliate marketing conferences and events with video.
As someone who couldn't make it to Affiliate Summit, I'm happy to catch a glimpse of what went on. I do wonder if the conference owners and presenters have any say in whether this stuff gets published, and if they'll even care. Personally, I think it's good publicity.
I haven't had time to watch them, but I will watch some of the affiliate presentations with interest. Interesting how some can be so paranoid and insecure yet talk so much at the same time.
Seems that these AffiliateVideo guys are a little paranoid themselves.
Update 2/5/06 : The site is down. Seems these guys either got cold feet or got shut down.
Update 2/5/06 #2 : The site is back. The error was a 403, something that I don't think the blog owners could have caused with a configuration on blogger. Probably just a technical issue.
