Reader Question: Samsung DLP Model HLN507W

I've read several posts on this site. Impressive !! Several descriptions cover a sound coming from the back of the DLP. I have replaced the bulb...needed that anyway, but I ear a sound like a squeal ?? bearing ?? I can't tell from the descriptions if it is the color wheel or the large cooling fan. The fan try's to spin but stammers. The bulb does not light, but it's new and I think the color wheel does not move. Replace the color wheel, fan or both ?? Any thoughts Thanks

    Thank goodness for a site like this.
    -installed new lamp...no problem -few weeks later, tv tries to power up at least 3x before shutting down, leaving the 3 blinking lights. -removed back panel, taped down switch, attempted to start tv. same symptoms as above, except this time... -i hear an electrical spark, sounds like the ballast trying
    to turn on the bulb. dont know how accurate this
    diagnosis is.
    -would appreciate any feedback. thank you very much for you time and response.

    ---food for thought...once someone discovers the solution to their problem, they should post what they did!
