Linkshare is loaded with roadblocks and barriers that keep me from doing much with Linkshare merchants.
At long last, it seems that they're resolving one of them. allowing non-IE users to view their SynergyAnalytics reports.
LinkShare is pleased to announce the release of a new multi-browser version of SynergyAnalyticsâ„¢ on Thursday November 17, 2005. This change will allow users to access LinkShare's analytics using the browser of their choice rather than just Internet Explorer running on Windows. This is especially good news for Apple OS X and Linux users who will now be able to access SynergyAnalyticsâ„¢ directly from their computers.
Just went to check it out and got the old "requires IE" message. Taking another look at the email, it looks like they're releasing it tomorrow, 11/17.
Even so, Linkshare remains the company I love to hate, my employment history notwithstanding.
The biggest wall of all remains. Their lack of automated reporting and their active prevention of it, keeps them way down on my list. Get over the AffTrack thing already and remove the silly CAPTCHA check. Have I missed something? Is anybody getting automated reporting data?
