Technorati.com says it's tracking almost 14 million blogs. But which of them really matter, have opinions or information that people find useful?

An analysis posted by Gary Price at SearchEngineWatch.com estimates about 10% of Web logs "matter" -- that is, they have interested at least one person to subscribe to an RSS feed. Bloglines, a Web-based reader, estimates that 1.1 million bloggers have attracted subscribers.
How many of those 10% that have attracted subscribers are active blogs? I'm guessing the number is much less than 10%.
On the other hand 90% of blogs "matter" to blog spammers. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
