I still think they had to get it out of the door before the Holiday code
freeze since it was decreed to be out in '09. Shipping in early '10 would
have a) looked bad and b) competed with the Google Phone.
I'm thinking Chrome (Mac) will be in beta for a long while at this rate.
However, some of the dev builds of Chromium are quite nice and include
bookmark managers, plugins, etc.
I'm thinking of just deleting off Chrome and going back to Chromium.

Wow, thanks for that! I was actually about to switch to google chrome but based on a few things I've read lately I think I'll hold off until it's a little more refined. The only thing that still draws me towards chrome is their unique landing page where-by you can visually display your most commonly visited sites. Which for myself would be a huge benefit since I have about 10 websites I use every day.
I use mozilla. Thanks for the info. You got it!

RSS isn't quite dead yet. If you're relying on the browser to provide access to your RSS feed, you're leaving a bit too much to chance.
Understandably, we've all become very used to our browsers auto-detecting a blog's RSS feeds and providing a link somewhere up in the browser interface.
Like in Firefox we have a convenient RSS button in the address bar:
Problem is, Google Chrome (at least on OS X) doesn't have this basic browser feature yet (which is just ridiculous).
So when I'm using Chrome, I can't easily subscribe to Chris Saad's blog, for example:
Sure, I can enter the blog's URL into Google reader. Or I could open up Firefox. But don't make me work for it. An RSS link is basic stuff that should just be there in your blog's template.
(Sorry to pick on you Chris. I see this all the time. Yours was just the final straw.)
