Yah – my defective had the same kind of sounds u talked about
( TV actually fired up for a day before konkin out )

I bought it from _remoteexpress-kamtools_

I called em and we agreed they would ship a new one once they got the
bad one back – no charge
( I just had to pay for shipping old one to them )
Original price was $116 bucks plus @ 10 shipping total

That is bull for Samsung to be telling u its NOT their problem .

Squeaky wheel 'em and let them know you will be going to EVERY electronics
web sight u can find
and bad mouthin' em if they dont make good on a replacement asap.
