The affiliate blog list has received a few more updates and new features in the past few days.
I’m afraid that it’s growing out of it’s name.
Here’s some of the new stuff.
Entry Browser
The view entry page (where you can comment and tag) now allows quick browsing of the previous and next items. Makes for some quick and easy bumping and tagging.
Start browsing from the newest entry or a random entry.
And while you’re browsing, quickly tag some entries.
Tags
The blog entries on ABL can be tagged by any user. There’s now also a tag cloud on the homepage.
If you have a blog on the list, tag your own entries so they appear on the tag pages.
Enhanced profiles
Users can edit their profile to contain any amount of text. Currently, the text can be enhanced with just a few formatting commands, specifically paragraphs, bold text, and links (yes, links!). HTML is not allowed, but instead I’m using a few popular BBcodes (e.g., [b], [url]). I’ll be doing more to enhance this, but obviously need to be careful here before opening it up to the wolves.
Messaging
You can post public or private messages to other members. Public messages appear in their profile page and gets your face out there.
Submit or Claim Your Blog
If you have an affiliate marketing blog, you can submit it through a submission form. After approval, it’ll be included in the frequent updates and your entries will appear on the site. If your blog has already been included by me, you can sign up and claim your blog. That’ll show your profile pic and name next to the blog entries and give them better visibility.
Local Blogs
Any member can create local blog entries right on ABL. So if you don’t have an affiliate marketing blog of your own (or even if you do), you can create your own local entries. It’s not exactly a wordpress or blogger replacement, but it may be useful for someone who’s not ready to create their own blog just yet or wants to beef up their ABL profile.
This isn’t only for affiliate marketing bloggers, but for all affiliate marketers. So sign up and check it out.
Lots of new stuff. I’d love to hear your feedback. Drop me a message in my profile.
