ShopatHomeSelect Evicted

by Scott Jangro on 14 October 2005

ShopatHomeSelect, has been removed from Commission Junction’s network for violation of the publisher service agreement and the Publisher Code of Conduct.

The adware in affiliate marketing issue has been brewing for years, came to a head in the fall of 2002 when the Publisher Code of Conduct was drafted, and has been simmering, and boiling over, ever since.

Many unknown publishers who have used unsavory tactics for generating clicks as well as participate in questionable (and downright wrong) distribution methods have been eliminated over the years. However, the visible “public enemies” of affiliate activists have remained, much to the dismay of the anti-adware/spyware affiliate community.

This year has already brought one significant change with 180 Solutions being dropped from Commission Junction and other affiliate networks. Removing SaHS is another major move to deal with a very visible problem. And just as the holiday season is ramping up…well done, CJ, with what will hopefully be a bellwether move.
