A week or so ago I received the notification that we were one of the Linkshare Network Turkeypalooza Winners. One of 100 fresh turkeys from Hickory Farms was on its way.
As of this morning, it hadn’t arrived. My wife and I were commenting how they’re cutting it close, and that there are potentially dozens of lucky affiliates who are not only putting their business in the hands of Linkshare, but also their Thanksgiving dinner! Would it show up?
Lo and behold, the UPS guy appeared this morning with a cooler box.

In all its rock-solid, flash-frozen glory…
I’ve received frozen meat via online order before, but nothing as large as a turkey. This thing is absolutely frozen solid! Unfortunately, there’s no way this thing will be thawed out by tomorrow morning (Thanksgiving). It’ll take at least until the weekend.
Sorry kids, no turkey for us. How about a Thanksgiving Crab?
It’s all good, we’re having dinner at my mom’s house. I’m pretty sure she’s got a turkey all ready to go.
Thanks Linkshare! Since we’re guests for this years dinner, that means no leftovers. We’re very happy to have our own weekend-after-thanksgiving thanksgiving dinner.
