I hate repeating news that can be read elsewhere, but I promised someone at Linkshare that I’d write something positive when they got rid of the CAPTCHA check.
And gosh darn it, they’ve done it. And they got rid of the 90-day password expiration along with it. So here’s a big atta-boy for this one. It’s a sight to behold.

Now that didn’t hurt at all, did it?
I predict that this one small move will at least double activity in the Linkshare inferface, which can only be good for everybody involved. Of course we’ll never see those stats, which makes it even easier for me to make such a prediction.
I wonder if they’ve chilled out on AffTrack as well. AffTrack is an affiliate stats aggregator which slurps reports from the major networks to consolidate for its users, and what is thought to be the primary impetus for the CAPTCHA check in the first place.
OK, so maybe it did hurt a little in an eat crow sort of way.
Since it’s been covered before, here’s a little link love to those who covered this previously:

One hurdle down, another to go. While you’ve got the code cracked open, please, please get rid of the “you are invalid” legal message/insult that I have had to click past every time I log in nearly for the past two years.
