Affiliate Blog List Now Has Tags

by Scott Jangro on 03 January 2007

Every Web 2.0 site needs a blog for the self-important developers to write about progress and such. I see no need to create a new blog for the purpose of updates on the affiliate blog list when I’ve got a perfectly good one right here that can use a little more activity, to be honest.

Likewise, what’s a Web 2.0 site without tags? The Affiliate Blog List is now tag-ified. And in a true social fashion, anyone can add tags to ANY entry.

Picture previously disparate affilaite marketing blog entries brought together like never before under a new cross-blog folksonomy. Heavy.

Examples:

Go ahead and start tagging entries, your own or others’. You’ll need to create an account to do that.

Here are some of the items on the growing to do list

  • The number of blog entries has grown over 1000 and paging is needed to enable browsing.
  • Member messaging and notifications of events
  • tag clouds, of course
  • Search

Feedback or Suggestions? Please let me know.

  • Affiliate marketing has a lot to do with traffic and content,If there's content and there's traffic, you will likely make money. As long as you know how to go about using the free blog to present what the expected traffic desires.
  • Each time you send someone through to the affiliate site, e.g ebay then a cookie will be dropped onto their system which lets ebay know exactly where the user originally came from and then if they buy something you will be sure to earn a little cream off the top.

    Thanks guys.

I had no idea either Paul, honestly.
  • Hi Scott,

Really impressed with the direction the blog list is heading. Had no idea that this was what you had planned when putting out the "roll call" several months back. Keep up the good work.

    Paul.
