Official word is that google has acquired writely, a web-based word-processor, document collaboration, Microsoft Word killer — one more step toward global domination for the big G.

I have a fundamental problem with browser-based tools like this. The web browser is becoming an operating system and with the separation between my real operating system and the new browser operating system, it’s like having two computers in one.

This cannot continue without a more seamless integration between browser and OS.
